Overview
The asset combines an optimized mesh with 16K physically accurate equirectangular textures, seamlessly mapped without polar distortion. Designed for film, games, VR, AR, and fulldome environments. Ready to import and render immediately, with all materials embedded. Includes a volumetric atmosphere for ray-traced engines and, in Unity, a custom atmospheric shader that simulates sunsets using color gradients and Fresnel effects without requiring additional setup.
Scientific Background
This 3D representation of Earth is based on satellite imagery and global geophysical data, this model includes maps for color, displacement, and normals, two cloud layers, a real color night lights map, and a dedicated ocean roughness map.
