Thermohaline circulation - Animated arrows 3D model

3D model of Thermohaline Circulation (THC) with animated texture arrows.

There are two ways to animate arrows, a video AVI* file or a sequence of JPG. In case you use OBJ, FBX, USF, gLB, gLTF or Sketchup files please check that your software can handle one of this kind of animation. There is also a PNG texture for static arrow renderings. Both animation methods are loopable and have a duration of 4 seconds.

• AVI file have a resolution of 2048x2048, 25 fps and xVID compresion.

All objects are unwrapped and can be customized through PSD files included.

Units are centimeters and the model has a diameter of 38 cm.

• 3ds Max 2022: Vray 5.0 and Arnold (With physical materials)
• 3ds Max 2020: Vray Next 3.2 and Arnold (With physical materials)
• Blender 3.5 Cycles
• Scketchup
• Export formats: OBJ - FBX - USF - glTF - glB

All polygons are quads. No Ngons or triangles.

Textures are 4096 x 4096 px for Earth (Diffure and Opacity) and 2048 x 2048px for Flow Diffuse texture.

Model is centered to origin.

• This is a polygonal model and is not prepared to be imported into parametric CAD software.
• This model is not optimized for 3D printing.
• Earth texture file is obtained from image “Blue_Marble_2002_High.png”, a public domain image original from NASA and available in Wikipedia.
