The word אגורות (agorot) appears around the edge, with תשמ״ג (the Hebrew date) at the bottom.The coin is made of aluminum bronze, giving it its distinctive golden-brown color.The agorot is a subdivision of the Israeli shekel (100 agorot = 1 shekel).
