Cucuteni-Trypillian figurine scanned 3d model

The Cucuteni-Trypillian culture is a Neolithic–Eneolithic archaeological culture (ca. 6000 to 3500 BC) in Eastern Europe.

The culture is known by its distinctive settlements, architecture, intricately decorated pottery and anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figurines, which are preserved in archaeological remains. At its peak it was one of the most technologically advanced societies in the world at the time, developing new techniques for ceramic production, housing building and agriculture, and producing woven textiles (although these have not survived and are known indirectly). Thousands of artifacts from Neolithic Europe have been discovered, mostly in the form of female figurines. As a result, a Goddess theory has occurred that says that statuettes represent the mother goddess, a personification of creation and nature. Others say that clay statuettes portray women in general.

In order to create the 3D model, a Trypillian statuette was laser scanned. The statuette was made by a Ukrainian ceramist and sold as a souvenir that brings prosperity and fertility. This souvenir reproduces the Trypillian figurines' form. ………………………………………. Rhombus design in the middle symbolizes a sown field and is a reference to fecundity. ……………………………………… Made by using a NextEngine 3D laser scanner.

This is the 3rd figurine that was scanned. Please check my profile to see the rest of the collection.
