Description
Name: King Bolete
Scientific: Boletus edulis
A.K.A.: Cep, Penny Bun, Porcino, Porcini
This Variation: This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: An edible mushroom that is held in high regard. This fungus grows in deciduous and coniferous forests and tree plantations, where it is mainly found in summer and autumn. It is a very large fungus and can be upward of 3kg. Like other boletes, the underside of the cap has pores, rather than gills. Widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere across Europe, Asia, and North America, it does not occur naturally in the Southern Hemisphere, but it has been introduced to southern Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil.
