DESCRIPTION
  • The Defiant X, which I designed in the Catia program, is a futuristic helicopter designed to go fast and far.
  • This helicopter, designed by Lockheed Martin company, is one of two candidates to be the new Black-Hawk type helicopter for the US Army.
  • Its most prominent feature is the top, where the two rotors rotate in opposite directions for maximum lift. This means it does not need a conventional tail rotor.
  • Getting in and out quickly is essential as this helicopter will need to send troops into the enemy area quickly. The rear propeller helps with this, it can propel the vehicle through the air quickly and can even help slow it down.
  • This allows the helicopter to accelerate or decelerate without leaning forward or backward as a Black-Hawk would.
