DESCRIPTION

The package contains high quality, low-poly model of slightly used combat knife with plastic-coated handle and 5 variants of the blade:

  • blade 1 (asymmetric with a saw): 542 vertices, 1072 triangles
  • blade 2 (asymmetric without a saw): 502 vertices, 992 triangles
  • blade 3 (symmetric with a saw): 932 vertices, 1172 triangles
  • blade 4 (symmetric without saw): 824 vertices 1064, triangles
  • blade 5 (tanto-style with a saw): 513 vertices, 1014 triangles

The model contains collision meshes and it is available in 4 file formats: blend, max, fbx and obj. The object is scaled according to metric system. The knife is provided with 6 sets of 4K textures; 5 for blades and one for the handle.Depending on dedicated usage each set is available in 3 versions containing following maps:

  • PBR Metallic/Roughness workflow: Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, Normal (DirectX), Ambient Occlusion; totally 30 16 bit png files,
  • Unreal Engine 4: Base Color, Normal (DirectX), combined Ambient Occlusion (red channel), Roughness (green channel) and Metallic (blue channel); totally 18 8 bit png files,
  • Unity: Albedo, Normal (OpenGL), Ambient Occlusion, combined Metallic (RGB) and Smoothness (alpha channel); totally 24 tga files.

In order to use our model in preferred game engine please follow official guidelines of its provider.

HDR, backgrounds and LODs not included.

COMBAT KNIFE was modelled basing on various real-life references. Detailed 4K textures and curvature-maintaining topology of each blade allow to view the model even in extreme closeups and make it suitable for first person perspective usage as a weapon or gameplay item as well as a prop or level decoration while offering possibility of customization.

This model is dedicated for video game development, architectural visualisation and cinematics.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
