The Zenitco DTK-1 is a muzzle brake and compensator designed to reduce recoil and muzzle rise on the AK platform. It is manufactured by Zenitco, The device features an aggressive profile with large side ports that vent expanding gases outward to counteract rearward recoil and top ports drive the muzzle down. Unique feature is the crown of hardened steel spikes on the front, which serves as a glass breaker or a contact point for door breaching. The DTK-1 is known for creating a significant concussive blast and increased noise signature. This compensator is compatible with AK-74 and AK-100 series rifles, but it can also be used on the AKM. The DTK-1 represents a pure function-over-form approach and this is appreciated by many AK enthusiasts.
