Commercial Kitchen v2

Commercial Kitchen v2 3D model

Description

a small commercial kitchen with clean and dirty zone including:

  • commercial dishwasher
  • simple HVAC tubing
  • ventilation hoods
  • storage cabinets
  • cookware
  • commercial oven
  • kitchen island
  • fridge
  • stainless steel kitchen rack with appliances
  • fire extinguishers with racks
  • wall-mounted paper dispensers

Model elements are grouped, all textures are provided. Scene was prepared in 3ds max 2018, saved back to 2015, vray version is 3.40, no external plugins required. For optimal render times, SolidRocks profile has been embeded in the file for your convenience.

Studio setup with HDRI lighting and cameras is also included, so the provided thumbnails should show the actual render output.

This is the enhanced version of my previous Commercial Kitchen model. This time more detail was put into exhaust hoods and kitchen island equipment. There are several other minor improvements. In case you encounter problems with any of the file formats, let me know.

Great model: 4/5 Stars! First thing: A word of warning, there appears to be an issue with the OBJ version of the file. However, my correspondence with @smyhu was great, and eventually I was able to use the FBX version. Good: The quality of the models are great. Absolutely no complaints. My customer service with @smyhu was top notch. He/She responded quickly and was very helpful in trying to figure out a solution to the OBJ issues. Bad: There was some "floating" objects, or at least they appeared to be floating. But I was able to import the FBX into Blender and place them down on the counter very easily. Ugly: There were literally dozens of material zones, and most of them hand inconsequential names: "1", "F2", "vray_aug". It was next to impossible to figure out what textures went where based on the names, and since I primarily use Daz/Poser, I re-texture everything with Shaders. So having names that mean something, like "Stainless Steel" or "Black" would go along way. There were three different "Glass" material zones, and I have no idea why. The utensils hanging on the wall had 9 material zones labeled "1", "2", etc. Only two actually did anything. It took several hours to redo the material zones. Recommendation: As long as you're willing or able to deal with the material zone issue, this is amazing model and I recommend it.
