  • Safety fuse is generally used for Blasting purposes in mining, quarries and construction work with plain detonators although time fuse is somewhat similar to safety fuse and still used for fireworks.

  • These fuses are available in various forms including bottle shape, NH Blade shape and cylindrical shape and all conform to the IEC utilisation category gB.
  • A fuse box serves as the central switchboard for the electrical system in your entire home.
  • It receives power from the utility firm and distributes it to various circuits that supply the fixtures and appliances within the home.
  • Fuses are widely used for protection of electric motor circuits; for small overloads, the motor protection circuit will open the controlling contactor automatically, and the fuse will only operate for short circuits or extreme overload.
  • What does a fuse do? A fuse protects a system or equipment from overload and short-circuit faults by cutting off the power to them.
  • It achieves this by melting or vaporising of the fuse element so that there is no physical connection conductive path for the current flow through.
