Wind turbine 3D model

Description

This model contains 3600+ components with 500+ unique components. Assembly contains over 60 subassemblies. Other formats are 3DXML, parasolid and parasolid binary. It is possible to send STL also (from whole assembly, as well as individual components).

The goal was to reach as many details as possible. Some of subassemblies are blade pitch system, yaw pitch system, gear pump with motor and oil tank, multiplier gearbox, axial fan, generator, hydraulic cylinder, PLC or control unit, tower, nacelle with wind vane and anemometer, main shaft with main and support bearings and so on.

Note: 30 kilowatt wind turbines usually don't have blade pitch system, in this assembly it is modeled for educational purposes. Blades are calculated, other components are modeled by recommendation and intuition.

Modeling, rendering and animation is done in solidworks (photoview), with photoshop and video editor of course.

I hope you like this assembly, it took me about 3 months to finish it!
