Made of 20mm rolled steel and precariously balanced, Poised embodies the elegance and amenability of paper. Half a ton in weight, the steel table appears improbable upon investigation. Intensive calculations into gravity, mass, and equilibrium mean the work is perfectly weighted and stable in spite of appearing ready to topple. Winner at Best Contemporary Design Moet Hennessy PAD Prize 2014.
