tokujin yoshioka debuts his ‘paper cloud’ sofa for moroso on the occasion of the 2009 salone del mobile. made from tensioned / shirred paper, the seating design accompanied by an armchair and stool has been envisioned as ‘elements of nature and of human imagination synthesized through a texture and a light form like clouds‘, as stated by the the japanese creative. the ‘paper cloud’ sofa is structured by a steel frame with flame-resistant cold cure foam. the removable cover is a machine washable ruched elasticated fabric available in black and white.
