The magic of a shadow. The Bold table seems bent on challenging the force of gravity, playing on a surprising effect of suspension. A single offcentre support bears the weight of the ultrathin table top, which is distinguished for its elegant rounded corners. The magic lies in the “shadow”: a black metal element that eliminates the need for a central base by stabilising the offcentre table leg. The absence of bulky legs frees the table from constraints, rendering it comfortable and versatile, with room for lots of diners. Thanks to the demanding engineering testing that we carried out to ensure the table’s sturdiness, the Bold table is extremely stable, in spite of the deep overhang of the table top. The tabletop is available in oak wood and XGlass in Calacatta Gold, Calacatta Black and Marquinia. The leg is available in any of the 32 LAGO hues, while the “shadow” element is always black.
Bold was make its official debut at Eurocucina 2018 during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan
