Procedural galaxy material, created with Blender's procedural shader nodes as a customizable node group.
Procedural Material:
The Galaxy is made completely from a procedural material using Blender's procedural shader nodes. The material is added to a simple cube object, no object modelling is needed. Just place the material on any object like a cube or sphere.
Customizable Node Group:
The procedural galaxy is joined as a custom node group with tons of customizable values to control the look of the galaxy, like the scale, colors, spin warp, visibility, detail values, distortion values, stars, and many more settings.
Render Engine:
The galaxy works great in both Cycles and Eevee, but it looks higher quality and more detailed in Cycles. The final renders are all rendered in Cycles.
World Background:
The space, stars, and nebula world background is also created completely procedurally with Blender's procedural world nodes.
Compositing:
To make the final result look very nice there are some compositing nodes setup in the file, like some glares, color adjustments, tune image, and lens distortion.
Blender Version:
The file was created with Blender version 5.0, and is using some of the new 5.0 compositing effects, so its recommended to use at least version 5.0 or a newer version.
