DESCRIPTION

Triangulated mesh of the Prismatic Spring site and surroundings. The model is georeferenced in UTM coordinates and it was generated with controlled precision to ensure proportions integrity. This means that can also be used to perform measurements and apply spatial analysis tools. Developed in metric system, approximate area 214ha/530ac with 2km/1.27mi of extension along the main diagonals. The main spring lake has a diameter of approximately 90m/297ft. The rendered scene includes twelve independent treed areas, nine as dense and three as sparse populated. This was important to gradually configure the scene while maintaining memory usage under control, given that all trees are volumetric objects (all plane png tree shown in some thumbnails were replaced wth 3D trees). These were included into a collection and then scattered throughout those areas as particle systems so, you can easily increase or decrease tree density. The scene also include three water planes developed to replicate that half mirrored surfaces of both springs and discharge lake. Same procedure was applied to river flow area. I added some lights inside the main water bodies and some hazy steam. Finally, I placed a wide base plane to extend horizon (textured), setup main light source (from southwest) plus an extra light to increase sky blueish reflection effect and a partially cloudy sky as background. Every depicted element is included on the model package. Mind that, blender scene was reduced to 1/10th of its original size and brought next to origin to improve rendering performance but .obj file (plus .mtl file and .png base texture) kept full original scale and georeference. Some elements are disabled on viewport but enabled for rendering and this also helps handling performance.
Every thumbnails are presented as generate from cycles render engine with NLM denoising enabled. Feel free to contact me if you have any doubts about the model or if you want a similar model from a different location. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION AND CHECK ALL THUMBNAILS BEFORE BUY.
