St. Nicholas Cathedral is a ruined Roman Catholic-turned-Lutheran cathedral located in Hamburg, Germany. It was originally built in the 12th century as a wooden church, and rebuilt in the 14th century as a medieval brick church but destroyed by fire in 1842. The church (and my model) is a Gothic Revival construction commenced in 1874. St. Nicholas Cathedral was finally destroyed in 1943 during WW2, leaving only the belfry tower intact. My references to model this cathedral are several original etchings drawn by Willy Müller-Gera, Ludwig Klingenberg, & George Gilbert Scott, as well as some photographs taken in 1910s-1930s. Due to the resolution issues of some old photographs, I ended up freestyling some of the decorative patterns, especially the ones on the west/east facade.

This church model might be ideal for historical visualizations, architectural renders, VR/AR experiences, educational projects, heritage reconstructions, or even simply personal collections.Asset is entirely made native in SketchUp Pro 2018 (.skp file), transfered to Blender (ver 5.0) file, and later exported into GLB, OBJ, and FBX files.
