In this model for my The Urbanist pack, I aimed to depict an environment less affected by vandalism and the passage of time, conveying a more polished and functional image of urban spaces. To achieve this, I meticulously applied layers of dirt in a subtle and controlled manner, avoiding excessive accumulation that might create a sense of neglect or abandonment. Instead of visible degradation, I opted for wear details that suggest consistent yet orderly use, highlighting the balance between old and contemporary elements. This aesthetic choice not only reinforces the feeling of modernity but also emphasizes the evolution of urban furniture and its role in everyday life. In this more recent version of the public phone booth, the gradual obsolescence of coin usage is reflected in both its design and context. The structure retains traditional features that make it recognizable but incorporates subtle modifications adapting it to a time when digital transactions and new communication methods have largely replaced physical payments. The result is a model that captures the transition between eras, respecting the identity of urban spaces while ensuring their functionality aligns with technological and societal advancements.
