Modern looking record player/Turntable based on the Sony PS-LX310BT

Why did I do this model ?

I love the look and design elegance of antique furniture, but I also understand that many people love the look of the new, sleek and simplicity of modern objects which gets people excited and keen to buy, just like in real life. While it looks new, this model does some throwbacks to the classical look of the record players from the 1970s/1980s, and can be used in that way if you wish.

Benefits to you, the customer ?

This 3D model has been constructed and made within Blender with great care and detail, with the ability for you as a customer to use one of two versions, with one having the textures baked in with the other using procedural textures. I spent a number of hours trying to match this digital model as close as possible to the real thing. This is thanks to a number of good reference images I studied.

This specific model will benefit a wide range of people, especially those that are heavily involved in architectural design/visualizations. This would be especially true if you are looking for a specific musical prop to have in the background, be that for a home or office. This record player/turntable can demonstrate to your clients that the owner is an old fashioned musical lover (i.e Record/Vinyls), while loving the simplicity of sleek modern design.

How the file works

Within the downloadable folder, I have included two different blender files. One of these files (Procedural_Blender_Record_Player_Late 20th_Early_21st) all the textures/materials are included, using a wide variety of procedural nodes. For those unfamiliar with this, it means you will be able to modify any node, specifically the look, style and layout of any material/texture, thus allowing you to make changes to suit your own preferred taste/style specific to your own project. This is a Blender file, and will suit any level of experience as the node layout is quite simple and easy to follow. ALso included is the record labels, so you don’t need to worry about creating links.

However, for those who want the ease and comfort of downloading the file with worrying about making changes, I have included the Blender File (Record_Player_Late 20th_Early_21st). This file includes just the textures (all included in the Texture Folder/zip file), all baked into the Blender Model.

Current feedback

I have uploaded a number of renders for this product on various related Facebook pages (3D, Blender etc.), and have received positive feedback in each one. This positive feedback has been encouraging, meaning if it works for Blender fans, then it will work for you.
