3D Model of Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus
High quality lowpoly model ready for amazing animations and renders
The model, textures and rig were made with great attention to detail to replicate him as faithfully to the original as possible and to greatly optimize him. The face rig doesn't use any booleans or shapekeys, 100% rigged topology. I made his rig as intuitive as possible to make it easier to use and animate.
I uploaded two versions of the model, one for the version 2.92 of Blender, and another for the version 4.4.
Addons: For the ears dynamics, I used Wiggle bones for the version 2.92. And Wiggle 2 for the version 4.4. For the version 4.4 IK/FK Snapping, I used the addon IK-FK_snapping. You may find these free addons in the ZIP where the model and textures are.
The model itself and without subdivisions (despite the head) has 14804 polygons, but this is because the head must have two levels of subdivision, otherwise the teeth or eyes will poke through it when doing certain poses, however, the head might work with one subdivision level sometimes, if this is the case, the model would have 7988 polygons (In all the preview images the head has a two level subdivision). The spooky face works without subdivisions.
The switch at the top actives all the extra stuff, such as the censor bar, eyebrows, spooky face, change pupils and the squash and stretch controllers.
The lower switch changes the type of rig (IK or FK), and the switch at the bottom actives a snap from IK to FK. The animation must be baked for this working properly. In the version 4.4, there´s an addon that makes the snapping more effective. However, it might not work properly sometimes because there is not a set option to do that in Blender.
The Censor Bar, eyebrows, eyebrow creases and eye creases do not emitte shadows. They use the same texture which is emissive and doesn't get affected by lights. The censor bar is always pointing to the camera, you may also transform it as you want.
I added squash and stretch controllers to the arms and legs, unfortunately I couldn't add it to the head or body because it broke due to some bone constraints. However, in the FK rig you can separate the bones to create a squash and stretch effect.
Enjoy using it!! Now it's your turn to bring him to life. Please leave in comments what you'd like to do with the model, I'd be glad to read them.
Give me the credits of this if you're going to use him for public stuff, thanks!
