This is a practical toon character animation scene of 200 frames. Which comprises of a suprise, a hop, and wing flutters.

There's a simple light rig and the mentalray toon shader was used in combination with mix8layer, the solely plugin (free) you will need for rendering the scene exact to the presentation image. For that only some vignetting and title letters were added (no color correction).

The model is rigged and animated in a practical way to get the job done fast and meet the deadline. It is an old project I revisited for cleaning some nodes, changing names, and tidy everything a bit prior to upload here and also make it compatible for Maya 2011. It also uses a custom Ambient Occlusion Render Pass.
