Moonrise (Japanese: ムーンライズ, Hepburn: Mūnraizu) is a Japanese original net animation (ONA) series directed by Masashi Koizuka and produced by Wit Studio, based on a novel written by Tow Ubukata. It premiered on Netflix on April 10, 2025.

A high-stakes tale where the destinies of the Moon and Earth violently collide. In a future world ruled by AI, a divide emerges from a radical Moon colonization project. The protagonist, Jacob Shadow, loses his family in a tragic terrorist attack and vows revenge, while his childhood friend, Phil Ash, fights for the Moon’s independence. Their paths cross in a dramatic battle that challenges the very world they live in.Trapped at the height of a cosmic conflict between Earth and the Moon, Jack (Chiaki Kobayashi) enlists as a scout in Earth's army seeking revenge against the Moon's rebel forces, but ends up discovering an unexpected leader.
