DESCRIPTION

A Locost is a home-built car inspired by the Lotus Seven. The car features a space frame chassis welded together from mild steel or aluminum tubing.

Some dimensions of this chassis were taken from the standard Caterham Seven 485 (2019) and old drawings of Lotus Super Seven S2.

The chassis consists of a variety of tubes with different cross-sectional sizes:

  • 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 inches square tube
  • 3/4 x 3/4 inch square tube
  • 1 x 1/2 inch square tube
  • Ø 1 inch round tube
  • Ø 3/4 inch round tube
  • 1 1/4 x 3 inch C-channel

Suspensions were not added to this chassis due to the fact that different donor-cars can be used.
