General Introduction
This project is a high-precision 3D model that meticulously reflects the architectural details of the legendary Kuleli Military High School building located on the shores of the Bosphorus in Istanbul. The original architectural features, facade details, tower structures, and interior spaces have been modeled as close to reality as possible.
History and Architectural Background
Kuleli Military High School began operating on September 21, 1845, under the name “Mekteb-i Fünûn-ı İdâdîye.”
The current building bears traces of classical Ottoman barracks architecture, with foundations dating back to the barracks of the reign of Mahmud II.
The main facade layout, towers, and inner courtyard have undergone various repairs throughout history; in particular, the towers were rebuilt between 1965 and 1969 in accordance with Thomas Allom's engravings.
