Old Rocky Lighthouse

Old Rocky Lighthouse Low-poly 3D model

Description

OLD LIGHTHOUSE ON ROCKS

by Ufuk Orbey (shadedancer619) / Made in: Cinema4D R14

This model is so cute and unique one in my archive. It has no large details and complex structure though but it works hard in your games. 7k polys are friendly and has a good deal with the game engines.

Lighthouse means the LIGHT. You should use some spot lights with dust and turbulence. Do not forget to force your luminance channel to the upper values for the light object itself.

FILES:

The source Cinema 4D file has no baked objects and UVs. Only texture images. This is the one which you use for your own textures.

Other C4D file and rest of them have baked objects with UVs.

Most of the objects were not connected. This should help you to texture them seperately.

TEXTURES:

PBR channels were useless for me because all textures have enough detail for shadows or bump effects. This is up to you though. You can create your own PBRs if you need to. I was happy when I test it in different light conditions. But as I said it's up to you.

COUNTS (source file contains more objects):

  • 20 objects
  • 7,943 polygons (if not triangulate)
  • 6,274 points (in OBJ and 3DS files point count may be higher due to the file conversion. Please optimize them)
  • 17 UV maps
  • 6 standart texture images

Nicely textured and weathered model that imported into Blender 3.1.2 with no problems. Minor issues: Some odd ball sized textures that were not in powers of two (ie; 512x1024, 2048x2048, etc) that I had to rescale and the overall model was not real world scaled, so I had to rescale it as well. Also it would have been nice if the lamp portion texture of the lighthouse was shown as yellow to simulate being lighted instead of being just clear glass. I am a model railroading hobbyist who creates freeware 3rd party mod content for the Trainz Railroad Simulator (TRS19). I use purchased 3D models on my own created freeware routes and share it with other TRS19 route creators, but only under the license provisions. I exported this model into Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019 (TRS19) and it looked exactly as it should and was trouble free. I am very pleased with the overall quality and appearance of this model and recommend it to others!
