DESCRIPTION

Acro Sport Biplane is built near to scale, highly detailed and includes many great features. First the model includes textures for the fabric covering, sewing and for leading edge smooth areas where plywood leading edges are used. The cockpits include complete instrumentation, materials for the gauges, switches, controls and knobs. Rudder peddles are also included. Structural flying wiring is modeled on the wings, tail and stabilizer. The ailerons on (bottom and top wings) elevators, rudder, and the propeller are animatable. Pull the cowling off to reveal a nearly complete engine compartment with a 4 cylinder opposed inline, air intakes, starter, flywheel and mounts. Cooling plates are also modeled.
This model comes with 12 different formats. The cockpit view shown is rendered from V01 and is shown only to give you a good view of the modeled cockpit. This model is available in 18 different paint schemes.
The Acro II is a two-seat aerobatic sportsplane designed by US aviation enthusiast Paul Poberezny in the 1970s for amateur construction. It is an enlarged version of his previous Acro Sport I, sized up to carry two persons. Plans are available through Acro Sport in Wisconsin. The Acro Sport II is a short-span biplane of conventional taildragger configuration, typically built with open cockpits and spatted main undercarriage. Its structure is fabric-covered, steel tube fuselage and tail group, with wood wing structure.
