DESCRIPTION

Double Inverted Coanda Motor - Concept.

the motor consists out of two counter spinning turbines, sucking in air from the top and bottom, then pushing and accelerating the air outward, which is then in turn bent downward through the curved shape, forcing the airflow downward along the shape. there are two hoods, the upper hood allows for air to flow inward along its curved surface, so that the downward flow remains undisturbed. it serves as a aerodynamic cover for protecting the function of the two inverted, counterspinning vortex turbine blades.

the lower hood provides a downward curve creating a surface for the created omnidirectional wind to follow downwards. the top vortex is guided over the shape and downward, the bottom counter spinning vortex blade is forced against the surface, which in turn also bends the airflow downward, creating lift.

use 4 - 6 - 8 - 16 of these inverted Coanda motors, placed in a circle, allowing for a disc shaped craft to lift. by inverting a single morrow we create or double the functionality inside the same amount of space, using negative space, maximizing efficiency of the motor.

This is basically a fork concept of the ionic lifter concept, one could use propellers or other turbine types to force the wind outward, and onto a omni directional wing, a 360 degree wing or airfoil design for instance. a center wind sucking in air from above and below, then forcing it outward to perform a function, creating lift. push outward from the center over and under a 360 degree airfoil.

[the YouTube video demonstrates a single, non inverted, non optimized coanda motor used for attaining lift].
