DESCRIPTION

Curtiss P-40B is built near to scale and includes a lot of detail. The cockpit is well populated with seat, bullet proof shield, instruments and controls as well as the exterior are complete with animateable flight controls. It also has an animated propeller, animateable landing gear and the canopy can slide open. The landing gear doors may be opened and closed. It is fully textured, and liveries are based on actual service liveries. Many of the countries who flew the plane are represented here. It can be used in an animated or static position within an animated video or possibly for programming for a flight simulation application. This model was not designed for 3d printing, these are digital files only. The models come in several formats ready for you immediate downloading.
The P-40B Warhawk was late 1930s development of the Curtiss Aircraft company P-40 family of fighter planes in anticipation of a need for a maneuverable dogfighter. The P-40B or Tomahawk IIA are revised versions of the P-40: had extra .30 in (7.62 mm) U.S., or .303 in (7.7 mm) machine guns in the wings and a partially protected fuel system. It was produced in numbers for the US Army Air Corp as a front-line fighter, then US Army Air Force and then later as a second line fighter when Mustangs, Thunderbolts and Lightening came on into service. They were sent to every area of operations and environment on the planet.Curtiss P-40B Tomahawk V01-V14 International modelIt was also produced and distributed as the P-40 Tomahawk to the other countries in the Allies in large numbers. The P-40 Warhawk and Tomahawk were fighters that helped win the war in the air. The P-40 was supplied to the Chinese Nationalists and became The First American Volunteer Group called the “Flying Tigers”.
