Description
Detailed model of an Avro Vulcan B.2 strategic nuclear bomber.
Modelling and Rigging
The entire model consists of 38 objects (with an additional 14 empties for rigging purposes) with a total of 35,119 vertices and 33,802 faces, not including the subdivision surface modifiers. Including the modifiers at the recommended levels (or in the .fbx version) there is a total of 539,885 vertices and 535,956 faces.
The model comes with fully rigged undercarriage, bomb-bay doors and airbrakes, each with a single controller to operate them. The flight control surfaces consisting of the four elevons and the rudder are also easily animated.
Note: The rigged controls are only available in the native .blender format.
Materials and Textures
The model is fully UV unwrapped and uses a single PBR material with five 8k texture maps - base colour, metallic, specular, roughness and normal.
The paint scheme is based on that from the last Vulcan bomber to actually fly - XH558.

Polygon count is way off. Is listed a 33,802 but after importing the FBX file into 3DS Max R9, it comes over 500k polys. Way too high to be used in a flight sim game

33,802 is the number of actual polygons in that native Blender format not including modifiers. The product description lists 539,885 vertices and 535,956 faces in the fbx version, and the model is specifically not tagged as low-poly for that reason.

Positive but! A lovely model however, whereas the Valiant has all of the cockpit framing present there is none on the Vulcan. Also, when the OBJ file is imported into MeshMixer the radar nose is completely deformed which changes the whole profile of the nose.
