MH-6 Little Bird Helicopter 3D model

This model has been inspired by the famous MH-6 Little Bird, often nicknamed the Killer Egg. The texture represents the standard paint job for this aircraft.

The model itself was done in such a way to be suitable for easy rigging and animating. This means that the parts that are usually animated are separate objects (rotors, rocket pods, miniguns, collective sticks, flight sticks, yaw pedals...).

To change the texture (in Blender) all you have to do is select a different texture under the Skin material.

• This model does include a modeled, although not very accurate interior.

The MH-6 Little Bird, often nicknamed the Killer Egg due to its compact, rounded design, is a light helicopter developed by MD Helicopters and used extensively by U.S. Army Special Operations since the early 1980s. Derived from the civilian Hughes 500, the MH-6 is built for stealthy insertion, extraction, and support of special forces, often operating in urban or confined environments. It features a lightweight airframe, exceptional maneuverability, and the ability to carry up to six fully equipped operators on external seating platforms known as benches. Despite lacking heavy armor, its speed, low profile, and ability to land in tight spaces make it invaluable for quick, precise missions. Famously used by units like the 160th SOAR (Night Stalkers), the MH-6 has served in conflicts from Grenada and Somalia to Iraq and Afghanistan, and remains a symbol of elite airborne operations.
