Don't think of the Reavers as soldiers; they're ammunition. They fight with a joyous, suicidal abandon because they've been taught that their death is more valuable than their life. Each one that falls isn't a loss; it's an investment, fuel for the fire that makes their comrades stronger. They are the first wave that crashes on your shield wall, and their only purpose is to bleed, die, and in doing so, begin the inexorable rise of the bloody tide. Killing them is exactly what their priest wants you to do. It’s a hell of a problem to have.
