You don't reason with an avalanche, and you don't negotiate with The Iron Horn. He's not a general in the way a city-dweller would understand it; he's a conclusion. Every Stálkarn believes that forward is the only direction that matters, that motion is life and stillness is death. The Iron Horn is just the one who believes it the hardest. He doesn't lead from the back with maps and plans; he is the very tip of the spear, the first and most ferocious into the fray, his bellowing roar the only command his horde needs. To face him is to stand on the shore and try to punch a tidal wave.
