The capybara, known as the world’s largest rodent, embodies tranquility and sociability in the animal kingdom. Native to South America, these gentle creatures thrive in groups near rivers and wetlands, where their semi-aquatic lifestyle allows them to swim with ease and communicate through a symphony of whistles and clicks.
This 3D model captures the rounded form and calm demeanor of a capybara, presenting it in a neutral pose suitable for tabletop dioramas, collectors, or educational displays. The attention to body shape, fur contours, and facial features emphasizes the capybara’s distinctive gentle nature.
The initial 3D form of this model was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software.
Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a rich and visually detailed result when used with color-supported 3D printing or digital rendering. The non-textured version (STL, 3MF) may lack some surface details visible in the textured formats.
Technical Features and Printing Recommendations:
Recommended print settings: 0.1–0.15 mm layer height for fine surface detail.
Supports: Minimal, depending on slicer orientation (suggested printing with belly down).
Recommended materials: PLA or resin for smooth finishes.
Suggested size: 80–100 mm in length for realistic proportions.
Minimum estimated print time: 5–6 hours (depending on size and printer).
Material usage: Approximately 40–60 g of filament at suggested size.
Scaling Note: This model is designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears too small when imported into your slicer, ensure your software is set to mm units. If needed, scale the model up 100x if the slicer defaults to meters instead.
