Step back 3,700 years in time with this 3D reconstruction of the scarab seal of Yaqub-Har, a Hyksos ruler in Egypt’s Second Intermediate Period.Join the Facebook group: “Print Your Museum – 3D Printed Archaeology” https://www.facebook.com/groups/862838313343526
This model faithfully recreates the original steatite scarab with its royal cartouche on the underside, and adds a scholarly reconstruction of the signet ring, showing how the seal was actually worn and used in antiquity.
In Egyptian, the consonants “r” and “l” are interchangeable, so the name Yaqub-Har can also be read as Yaqub-El, reflecting the Semitic background of this ruler and his connection to the Levant.
Model Features:
High-fidelity scarab body with textured wings, legs, and head, optimized for 3D printing in steatite-like materials (OBJ, GLB, FBX formats).
Engraved cartouche on the underside precisely replicating the hieroglyphs for Yaqub-Har, with subtle glazing effects in renders.
Reconstructed ring integration, showing the scarab bezel-mounted on a gold or bronze band, suitable for ZBrush sculpting or KeyShot visualization.
Perfect for educators, historians, and 3D-printing enthusiasts, this piece brings together digital craftsmanship and biblical archaeology to visualize an object that once circulated in the royal courts of the Goshen Region of the Nile Delta.
