FIGULO SPLASH LAMP CERAMIC MOOD LIGHTING

Description

AESTHETICS: Imitating the surface of water after a small drop disturbs its stillness. Light spilling in from around the edge accentuates the ripple effect, and mini splash. Several of these lamps could be spread around a specific area to increase the effect, and almost simulate a peaceful rain feeling.

METHOD: The lamp is composed of a single part, but gives the effect of two: The top 'liquid' surface, and the containing bowl, which are connected via hidden ribbing between. It can be placed over an E10 LED bulb in its housing (there's space for screw holes also... can ceramic be tapped?!) so the bulb too remains hidden between the layers. When turned on, the light escapes around the top edge of the bowl, and over the liquid surface.

TECHNICAL: Outer diameter of bowl: 156mm. Overall height of lamp: 83mm. 156+156+83 = 395mm Bounding Box. Minimum wall thickness: 6mm. Maximum wall thickness < 15mm. All joining surfaces have a 2mm minimum radius.

NOTES: The STL file contains only the ceramic geometry. To view the details of the bulb placement, please see the SolidWorks file.

UPDATES: 1. Feedback from Figulo was given that the central splash section was sinking during the manufacturing process. The X3 file hopefully addresses this problem by arching the ribbing across the central area under the drop.
