Description

This is a 3d model of a limpet produced using photogrammetry.

When I produced this model I decided that it is not quite up to my standards for selling models. So instead of scrapping the model and moving on to another project I decided to share it here on cgtrader for free.

Model Includes:

  • 4096x4096 Texture
  • Comes in obj, ply, fbx and stl format

Model Details:

  • Faces/Polygons: 31 258
  • Edges: 62 516
  • Vertices: 31 260

Additional Notes:

I was unable to capture the underside of this specimen so I duplicated the faces, moved them down, and inverted their normals. That way the underside will be rendered. Due to this however, the UV mapping is overlapped -as the top and bottom share the same texture.

This model not exactly game ready, as it still has far too many polygons. If the intended use is for a game, the model will need to be retopologized or decimated and the texture will need to be baked.
