I'm attempting to print this model with an FDM printer. Wish me luck. I can see that a resin printer would be much better, but I'm going to give it try. I love this ship. Superb detail. I can't wait to paint it.
This is a feat of research, also perfect if you're going the way of the opensource y wing project, it's all here (although I wish the greeblies were separate on the back panel of the cockpit) included is a model with all parts in situ but if you open in the parts together in something like 3D builder, everything will be virtually built so you can find where everything goes. Beautiful work.
Well it's a good replica of the real model, but there are no instructions, not even a txt note, about the materials you'll need (internal steel plate and rod). Also the greeblies are a pain to figure out just by watching reference pictures. Some of them are very similar and there's always a part you have no idea where it goes. A little info on this would make all the difference. All it takes is a reference picture or a render picture from every angle with numbers on it and those numbers on the .stl names. Please do that I beg you.

Are these actual STL files I can download and use directly on a slicer software to 3D print or do I need to download some other bullsht 3rd party software to access them?
