Desert Hawks Light Mechanized Brigades took the lead on the Loyalist counter-attack in the Palmyra Prime area. Due to lack of artillery and armor, the command assigned the main combat missions to the Watcher-type fire support vehicles. Lightly armored but maneuverable vehicles suffered heavy losses, but the Heresiarch lines of defence were breached in several places. By the end of the counter-offensive only a few Watchers remained in the ranks and each received a golden laurel wreath as a sign of the greatest valor and bravery.
