Documentation (history)
The Red Army is credited as a decisive force in the Allied victory over the Axis powers in the European theater in World War II. During operations on the eastern front, the Red Army inflicted devastating damage on the forces of Nazi Germany, which deployed 80-83% of its forces (Heer and Waffen-SS) on that front, causing the majority of total casualties. in comparison with other allied countries and finally capturing the German capital of Berlin after a battle in which approximately two hundred thousand people perished, between civilians and soldiers from both sides.
