Hi everybody, I designed these printable 3d models as terrain miniature for any historical, fantasy or sci-fi tabletop wargames or RPG.
This project includes a total of 23 STL in the following six sets of Octagonal Gothic columns:
Image 1) Classic Gothic Columns: the standard version, each of the eight sides has a recessed frame + the ruined version + the broken version + an alternative version;
Image 2) Gothic Octagonal Column Small Arches: like the classic column but on each side there is a narrow pointed Gothic arch + the ruined version + the broken version;
Image 3) Gothic Octagonal Column Wide Arches: like the classic column but on each side there is a wide pointed gothic arch + the ruined version + the broken version;
Image 4) Octagonal Gothic Column with Skulls: 1 Gothic Octagonal Column Wide Arches with many half skulls close together + 1 Gothic Octagonal Column Wide Arches with few half skulls distant from each other + 1 Gothic Octagonal Column Wide Arches with a few whole skulls distant from each other + 1 Gothic Octagonal Column small Arches with few half skulls spaced apart + 1 Classic Gothic Columns (no arches) with whole skulls spaced apart;
Image 5) Simple Octagonal Column: the simpler version, with the eight smooth walls + the ruined version + the broken version;
Image 6) Starry Compound Gothic Column: version of the column with eight sharp edges alternating with eight narrow cylindrical columns + the ruined version + the broken version + two alternative versions;
The columns measure 27 mm long x 27 mm wide x 128 mm high and have been designed for a scale of 1:28 (indicatively in reality they would be 8 m high and 1.5 m wide), the broken versions are about half as high as the whole ones. Feel free to change the scale of the models as you like but I suggest you to don’t make the ruined columns and those with skulls too small (otherwise you may lose the details). As the base and head match, the columns can also be stacked on top of each other to create tall pillars.
I modeled everything (including the skulls) with blender. All the above images are simple renderings and do not represent the result of 3d printing.
