Nodes for Geodesic Dome

Nodes for Geodesic Dome 3D print model

Description

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

HI, I share connector nodes to print and build a geodesic dome, frequency 1.

The nodes were designed for bars with a maximum diameter of 20 mm, they can be rods or plastic pipes. The ends of each node have holes to pass seals and ensure that the bars do not come out, although if they use 20mm pipes they will enter under pressure.

I have uploaded 2 versions of files of each node, the so-called Panels, they allow to assemble some closing time by means of the grip that is incorporated into the model.

The size of the Dome will be determined by the length of the bar used, all lengths must be the same.

To build the dome, you will need to print:

Node_4: 5 Pieces Node_5: 6 Pieces

I recommend printing with a 0.6 0 0.8 peak as you don't need detail. At the same time, I recommend using 100% filling to improve its resistance. In PLA it´s okay.
