DESCRIPTION

Tested small and robust low-speed worm gear box with gear ratios 1:10, 1:15, 1:20. Perfect for small drives, for horizontal and vertical fixing.

  1. 3D print all parts (print head: 0.4 mm for gears, up to 0.8 mm for case): Worm_Gear_m1.5 (PC, standing, brim, supports, 100 % infill) is designed for all gearboxes. Then choose gear ratio you want and print respective Driving_Gear_m1.5xXY (PC, 100 % infill) + Case_iXY (PC/ABS, brim, supports, 40-60 % infill). Please note: when printing Case_i10, pause the print at 19 mm and insert Worm_Gear_m1.5, then finish the print.
  2. Thread fixing holes with M4.
  3. Press in M5 nuts into Worm_Gear_m1.5 and Driving_Gear_m1.5xXY.
  4. Assemble using 625ZZ (5x16x5) bearings, 1xM5x70 (for worm gear) and 1xM5x50 (for driving gear) screws according to drawing-cross-sections. Use 4xM5 washers and 6xM5 nuts (or 8xM5 nuts if M5 threaded axis is used).
