This was a little project I did for one of my Patreons and thought it might be useful for other modelers to use
The brick bund has an outer dimension of approx 150mm x 115m and an inner measurement of approx 144mm x 109mm.
I have created four versions with two types of top, one with a capping stone top and the other with a brick top. There is a version of each with a smooth inner and the other with a brick inner. The capping stone version is 14.5mm high and the brick version is 15mm high.
A bund is a secondary containment system which is designed to capture any leaks or spillages from a primary containment such as a storage tank. A bund consists of an impermeable floor and a set of impermeable walls to create a watertight area around a storage tank, any liquid which escapes the primary containment is retained in the bund and prevented from spilling onto site or escaping to the environment.
These have been designed at OO Gauge, 1:76.2 Scale, for HO Gauge print at 87%, 1/87 Scale, for O Gauge UK print at 175%, 1/43.5 Scale, for O Gauge America print at 158%, 1/48 Scale.for N gauge print at 51.49%, 1/148 scale. (Caution: I have not printed this model in N gauge so can’t guarantee its printability)
I have tested these designs on a Bambu Labs A1 FDM printer (0.4mm Nozzle, layer height 0.08mm).
I use AnyCubic Water Washable Resin for most of my items but use AnyCubic ABS Like Resin for anything that needs to be stronger and tougher.
