The Neutronic Annihilator! A simple but brutal weapon, manufactured in the millions to arm robotic armies with. Not the most accurate of designs, the laser pinpoint sight is almost superfluous in aiding performance. Nevertheless, annihilators can be found in armories on almost every planet, and are especially popular in seedy black markets.
The Annihilator accessory is based on the appearance of the Neutron Assault Rifle in the War for Cybertron video game, previously made available on Shapeways (Model ID: BWVKKKQAC). As an assembly of 3 pieces, it features a detachable handle that can peg into 2 spots for adaptability with different figures, and comes with detachable sight that clips onto any 3mm post.
Printing Tips:This accessory has been successfully printed in SLS nylon and SLA resin. You can also try printing it oriented vertically using FDM, with brim and support structures, with slow printing speeds near the top to ensure the thin barrel prints properly.
The structure of the scope is basically a 3mm diameter c-clip, and is meant to flex slightly on installation. Ensure that your print material used is sturdy enough to take that sort of deformation.
