Sculptural Spinning Top in the form of a Mallow Flower.

This is an original digital sculpture by the artist, allowing collectors and makers to reproduce the sculptural form for personal use.A physical version of the sculpture is also available in my Etsy shop, produced and finished by the artist.

The model represents a sculptural spinning top inspired by the form of a Mallow flower. It can function both as a spinning toy and as a decorative sculptural object.

The Story

While working on the previous Sunflower spinning top sculpture, I had the idea to create a Mallow flower in the same style.

Both Sunflowers and Mallow flowers have traditionally been planted in Ukrainian yards, often growing along fences and near houses. Because of that, these flowers are closely connected with memories of warm summers, gardens, and the quiet atmosphere of rural homes.

In its sculptural interpretation, the Mallow flower also closely resembles the well-known Hibiscus flower. Both plants belong to the same botanical family and share a similar expressive structure.

So you may call this sculpture either a Mallow or a Hibiscus flower.

Personally, I prefer the name Mallow — I simply like the way it sounds.

This sculptural flower works well both as a classic spinning top toy and as a decorative interior object.

3D Printing

This 3D model is relatively easy to print and does not require supports when using the split version of the model.

For your convenience, the archive includes both:

• a solid version of the Mallow Spinning Top
• a split version divided into upper and lower parts, recommended for easier 3D printing

Feel free to experiment with different materials, sizes, and finishes.

Supports for 3D printing

Please note that I do not provide pre-supported models.

There are many different 3D printing technologies and materials available today. Support settings that work well for one printer may not work for another.

For this reason, the model is provided in its clean original form, so you can generate supports according to your own printer, materials, and printing method.

When purchasing this model it is assumed that you have basic experience with 3D printing.
