DESCRIPTION

Looking for a gift idea? or want to spice up your old walking stick?

This Sprezzatura inspired octopus walking stick/cane handle was modelled off the real thing. After a nasty fall down the stairs and 8 months in a wheelchair, I have found a lot of mobility products to be very vanilla and boring. this design is my first in this space. Any requests are welcome.

Designed to fit a 19mm shaft walking stick

For added strength, I suggest printing in PETG, though would also look good as a multi-material print.

I printed mine on a Prusa MK3s using Prusa Slic3r on the Quality MK3 generic profile with 0.15mm layer height and 0.4mm nozzle with supports on. Total print time 11.5 hours

I suggest printing with 10 shells and 50% infill for increased strength. Align the print at an angle to the bed. Do not print as shown in the previews as horizontal layer changes may weaken the handle. position so that layer lengths are as long as possible
