Yemanja (Yemoya in Nigeria, Iemanjá or even Dona Janaína in Brazil) is the orishá of the Egba people, fertility divinity of Yoruba mythology, originally associated with the Sea.She also embodies the figure of being the virgin of the sailors, the protector of the home, the goddess of fertility or the mother of fish.
