helm of domination from warcraft, for 3d printing and cosplay.
i printed the helmet on my tronxy x5, but the files arent too big. i also sliced the helmet to seperate files to make printing easier as my bowden setup causes stringing and i didnt want to commit to a long print, but i added here the unsliced files so anyone can slice them how they fit. with the corona situation i cant find the means and the time to actually sand and make it pretty, so sorry for the ugly prints in my pictures.
the model is built out of 6 distinct meshes.
the crown- the largest piece, full of sharp corners. i sliced each horn to a seperate object to make cleanup easy, i also sliced it in the middle so i would have a flat bottom layer and less noise from support.
the cheeks- 2 meshes, left and right( they are not identical), i printed these with supports from meshmixer( meshmixer overhangs) this allowed me a much cleaner finish.
the neck- the neck is the same model printed 4 times, it has registration holes in it to align and connect. i suggest connecting them with a strap to make a non rigid connection.
the crystal- the crystal should be blue\ red transperant. so i added the actual mesh that should slot in the groove on the crown, but i also added a buck mesh for heatforming -the nose- the nosepiece has a small hole in it for a screw to connect to the crown.
