Neovenator was a medium-sized theropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 125 million years ago in what is now Europe. Known for its slender build, sharp teeth, and powerful legs, Neovenator was a swift and agile predator that likely hunted smaller dinosaurs and scavenged for food. Its name means “new hunter,” and it is one of the best-known carnivorous dinosaurs from the UK. Fossil evidence suggests it had sensory structures in its skull that may have helped detect prey, similar to modern crocodilians.
