DESCRIPTION

Ballet pose from the Nova series.Free for a limited time. The default version is at 1/8th scale with a separate base. The 1/8th scale body is 250mm long. It can be printed laying down diagonally on a typical Prusa-style printer (220mm square bed). The bottom of her feet have been extended so they plug into the base (see image). Alternatively, to avoid marring the surface with support, a split version is also provided, where the top and bottom half can be printed separately at an angle. This results in the best quality, and has support structures included. The split version can be scaled to 200% to print at 1/4 scale on a Prusa-like printer (230mm Z-axis), resulting in a 20" tall sculpture. Good foot contact is normally required for a successful print, and so the figurine can stand, which is why she is not en pointe, like a typical ballerina. That also requires special shoes, and she is barefoot in the scan session. Nova does have ballet experience though, so I consider this pose legit. :)

Versions are also provided with vertex colors and texture mapping (color value is from reflected laser intensity during the scan), as well as the original scan data.
